Last weekend I joined the scouts of the Srečkov Steg troop at their winter camp. Spending time with them in nature was a beautiful reminder of how important authentic experiences, teamwork, and human connection are for young people growing up in an increasingly digital world.
As the current Miss Slovenia, I had the opportunity to lead a workshop dedicated to the topic of online violence and respectful digital communication. This issue is becoming one of the most pressing challenges facing young people today. While technology has created incredible opportunities for learning, connection, and self-expression, it has also opened the door to new forms of harm.
Cyberbullying, online harassment, and digital exclusion affect a growing number of young people worldwide. Unlike traditional bullying, online violence does not stop when a young person leaves school or logs off their device. Hurtful comments, public shaming, or the spreading of harmful content can remain online indefinitely and reach a wide audience within seconds. This permanence and visibility can intensify feelings of isolation, anxiety, and helplessness for those who are targeted.
Many young people also hesitate to speak about their experiences because they fear judgment, retaliation, or the belief that their concerns will not be taken seriously. For this reason, education, awareness, and open conversations are essential. Creating safe spaces where young people can talk honestly about their digital experiences is one of the first steps toward meaningful change.
During the workshop, we discussed the different forms online violence can take, why it happens, and how each of us can contribute to creating a safer and more respectful digital environment. We spoke about empathy, responsibility, and the importance of standing up for others in online spaces. Even small actions—offering support to someone who is being targeted, refusing to participate in harmful conversations, or reporting abusive behavior—can have a powerful impact.
Through my work, I aim to encourage young people to understand that the values of kindness, respect, and responsibility apply equally in the digital world as they do in everyday life. Technology should be a tool that empowers young people, strengthens communities, and amplifies positive voices.
I am deeply grateful to the scouts for welcoming me so warmly, for their openness in discussing such an important topic, and for the inspiring energy they shared throughout the weekend. Experiences like this strengthen my commitment to continuing my advocacy work and to contributing to the global mission of promoting compassion, respect, and positive change among young people.

Miss World SloveniaAs Miss Slovenia I had the opportunity to visit an innovative company in the transport and mobility sector - “Prigo” 🚛✨ and learn more about the people and ideas driving modern logistics forward.
What inspired us the most was their strong vision 💡—built on quality, expertise, responsibility, and continuous improvement. It was a powerful reminder that progress happens when knowledge, innovation, and dedication come together.
Experiences like this allow us to see how different industries contribute to building stronger, more connected communities. 🌍 Through learning, collaboration, and creativity, we are encouraged to think bigger about the future and the role young women can play in shaping it.
The day also challenged us to step outside our comfort zones, work as a team, and approach new tasks with confidence and curiosity. 🎯
Moments like these show that leadership is not only about a title—it is about growth, openness to learning, and the courage to embrace new opportunities. ✨Mar 10, 2026

Miss World Slovenia✨ Building bridges, opening doors to an inclusive society ✨
Yesterday, I had the opportunity, as Miss Slovenia, to present the project
“With You, We Can”. Together with the Zasavje Occupational Activity Center, which supports people with intellectual and physical disabilities, we are co-creating a more inclusive, connected, and humane society. 🤍
At the professional conference “Building Bridges, Opening Doors to an Inclusive Society,” organized by the Dr. Slavko Grum Primary School in Zasavje - Slovenia, experts in special and rehabilitation pedagogy, education, and social services shared their experiences, knowledge, and practices on how to open opportunities — and hearts — to people with special needs.
When you see how much we can achieve when we come together… you gain new motivation and new faith in the society we are building. 🌱💛
Grateful for the invitation, the conversations, and every smile that reminds me why we do what we do.
Together, we truly can. 💫

Miss World SloveniaOctober 10 — World Mental Health Day 🧠
The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day is access to support in times of crisis — because such events deeply affect our mental well-being.
As Miss Slovenia, I want to speak today about two interconnected topics:
mental health and online violence.
💛 Mental health is our foundation — when we are strong within ourselves, we face challenges more easily.
Yet in the digital world, many people suffer in silence…
Cyberbullying and hate speech can cause fear, anxiety, loss of self-esteem, sleep problems, or even depression.
We may notice changes in behavior, withdrawal, or difficulties with sleep or appetite — let’s be attentive and compassionate. 🌼
🙏 What we can do (you, me, all of us):
✨ Don’t accept hateful posts as “part of the game” — report them.
💬 If you see someone struggling — offer to listen, don’t ignore it.
🫶 If the distress becomes overwhelming — seek professional help without shame.
🤝 Let’s act together: schools, parents, platforms, policymakers — let’s make the internet a safe space for everyone.
In Slovenia, we have an excellent program called MIRA, which strives to provide timely, accessible support and to foster an environment that strengthens resilience and connection. 🤝💬
The color yellow symbolizes light, warmth, and hope. 🌞 That’s why the yellow dress I wore at a special Miss Slovenia event dedicated to mental health felt so fitting for the occasion. 🤗

Miss World Slovenia🌐 Today, online violence and hate speech have sadly become part of everyday life on social media. These are not “just words,” but actions that can deeply hurt individuals. That’s why it is so important to raise awareness, speak up, and take action. 🚫💬
At the Occupational Activity Center for people with disabilities in Sežana Slovenia, I had the opportunity to lead an interactive workshop on safe use of social media. Together, we discussed the risks of the digital world, explored solutions, and learned how to support one another. 💻💙
👉 If you ever face online violence – don’t go through it alone. Reach out for support, and be there for others as well. At the same time, remember: every comment and every post matters. Let’s use our words to spread respect, kindness, and understanding. ✨💜
Together we can make an important step forward. 🌍💫

Miss World SloveniaMining has always been an important part of the cultural heritage in the Zasavje region of Slovenia. By honoring these traditions, we strengthen our national identity and help preserve the legacy of our ancestors. ⛏️✨
Good luck! 🍀This is the traditional greeting of miners, who underground supported one another and stood side by side through both good and difficult times.
Symbolically, I also took this pledge at the 17th traditional “Leap over the Skin” ceremony. 😁
Together with Miss Slovenia 2025 finalists, we joined the event “Perkmandelc invites you to his land”, dedicated to preserving the mining tradition of Zagorje ob Savi and the wider Zasavje region. We spent time with members of the Occupational Activity Center Zasavje for people with intellectual and other disabilities, played a friendly football match ⚽️, tried the fun local game “throwing the hammer into the cart” 🏆, danced 💃🕺, and enjoyed a colorful cultural program 🎤🎵.Aug 24, 2025
