October 10 — World Mental Health Day 🧠 The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day is access to support in times of crisis — because such events deeply affect our mental well-being. As Miss Slovenia, I want to speak today about two interconnected topics: mental health and online violence. 💛 Mental health is our foundation — when we are strong within ourselves, we face challenges more easily. Yet in the digital world, many people suffer in silence… Cyberbullying and hate speech can cause fear, anxiety, loss of self-esteem, sleep problems, or even depression. We may notice changes in behavior, withdrawal, or difficulties with sleep or appetite — let’s be attentive and compassionate. 🌼 🙏 What we can do (you, me, all of us): ✨ Don’t accept hateful posts as “part of the game” — report them. 💬 If you see someone struggling — offer to listen, don’t ignore it. 🫶 If the distress becomes overwhelming — seek professional help without shame. 🤝 Let’s act together: schools, parents, platforms, policymakers — let’s make the internet a safe space for everyone. In Slovenia, we have an excellent program called MIRA, which strives to provide timely, accessible support and to foster an environment that strengthens resilience and connection. 🤝💬 The color yellow symbolizes light, warmth, and hope. 🌞 That’s why the yellow dress I wore at a special Miss Slovenia event dedicated to mental health felt so fitting for the occasion. 🤗 #WorldMentalHealthDay #ProgramMIRA #StopCyberbullying #MissSlovenia #MentalHealth #YouAreNotAlone #MissWorld
