Hello, my name is Ambar Zenteno, I’m proud to say I’m representing Chile.I was born in Santiago, capital city of Chile, into a loving and supportive family of artists who taught me to appreciate different cultures and perspectives and have always encouraged me to follow my dreams and pursue my passions.Where I come from is always remembered as the longest country in the world, but is also one of the most hitted by natural disasters, like the most powerful earthquake ever recorded and huge fires which makes us incredibly caring and resilient people. Our unwavering spirit and determination to come together as a community only grows stronger with each occurring disaster. It's this compassion and resilience that truly set us apart and make us proud to call this country home. From a very young age, I was fortunate to have the experience of traveling and camping throughout the country with my family. These adventures strengthened the bonds within my family and teached me to appreciate the simple things in life, like spending time together and creating memories that will last a lifetime. One of the things I love is learning and discovering new things. I worked really hard on my career, won a scholarship for best average grade, another one for doing an exchange in Denmark and graduated with honors as an industrial civil engineer with a major in chemistry. When I was 18 years old, my life took a turn after I started experiencing health issues. After 4 years of health issues and uncertainty I was diagnosed with dysautonomia, a medical condition that refers to a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system.Today, I manage my condition effectively and it no longer has an impact on my daily activities, but I’m aware this is not the reality of everyone else suffering from this. That's why I feel a strong sense of purpose to make a difference andhelp to raise awareness about “invisible disabilties”. My mission, "Turquoise Heart," was born as a result of this experience, and I have been working ever since to raise awareness about dysautonomia and support others who are facing similar struggles. Being able today to drive my work through the Miss World Chile platform.Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little bit better. I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to share my story with you, and I sincerely hope it resonates with you and leaves you feeling inspired in some way.Lots of love, from Chile.
