In a cosmic journey, the name of Ambar Zenteno, Miss World Chile and representative of beauty with purpose, embarks on a transcendent mission to Europa, Jupiter's icy moon, aboard NASA's Europa Clipper robotic spacecraft.
This expedition goes beyond a mere space voyage; it is a quest into the depths of Europa to understand its hidden secrets. The mission's three fundamental scientific objectives are to comprehend the nature of the ice shell and the ocean beneath it, as well as the composition and geology of this mysterious moon. This detailed exploration of Europa will provide valuable data for scientists to better understand the astrobiological potential of habitable worlds beyond our Earth.
The journey will be accompanied by a poetic touch, as a poem written by the renowned poet Ada Limón will be immortalized in relief on the Europa Clipper. But what stands out even more is that the name of Ambar Zenteno, Miss World Chile and representative of beauty with purpose, will be on a microchip and mounted on the spacecraft, making her the first Miss World from Chile to have her name carried to Jupiter's moon.
The launch, scheduled for October 2024 from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, marks the beginning of an extraordinary 2.9 billion-kilometer journey to Europa. Chile, through Ambar Zenteno, becomes an essential part of this lunar odyssey, where the grace and name of our Miss World will resonate among the stars as the Europa Clipper ventures into the unknown.
NASA reports that beneath Europa's icy surface, there is evidence of an ocean with more water than all the Earth's oceans combined. Europa may have all the "ingredients" necessary for life as we know it: abundant water, essential organic compounds, sources of chemical energy, and stable conditions for 4 billion years.
Europa Clipper will conduct approximately 50 close flybys to investigate whether the moon could have conditions conducive to life, marking a significant step in the search for answers about the habitable potential of our solar system. In each of those 50 journeys, over 2 million people, including 10,164 fellow Chileans, and the name of Ambar, our Chilean representative, will be part of history, contributing to unraveling the mystery of life elsewhere in space.

- With its solar panels deployed, Europa Clipper spans over 100 feet (approximately 30 meters), roughly the length of a basketball court.
- The spacecraft boasts 24 engines.
- Europa Clipper will orbit Jupiter and conduct nearly 50 flybys of Europa.
- The spacecraft has 9 specific scientific instruments designed and dedicated to conducting scientific research and collecting data on the Europa Clipper mission, in addition to gravity/radio science instruments.
- At the time of launch, Europa Clipper will weigh approximately 13,000 pounds (6,000 kilograms). Nearly 6,000 pounds (2,750) will correspond to the fuel used during the mission.
