Celebrating Purpose: The Beauty with a Purpose Gala & Talent Final

Today is a really special day for us all, as we come together to celebrate the Beauty with a Purpose Gala & Talent Final. It's a reminder that beauty transcends physical appearance; it emanates from the light within each of us. It's inspiring to be surrounded by empowered women who are dedicated to being the change they wish to see in the world.

As one of the 117 candidates from around the globe, I had the opportunity to present my purpose, and it's truly heartening to witness the passion and commitment of my fellow contestants. Each of us is driven by a desire to make a difference, and I'm so grateful to be part of such a remarkable group and to share with the world about the work I've been doing over the past years.

To learn more about my Beauty with a Purpose project, I invite you to watch my BWAP video here. In summary, I've founded the Turquoise Heart Foundation with a mission to educate and raise awareness about hidden disabilities, such as dysautonomia; a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system.

Tonight is a truly special evening as we'll witness two significant events: the showcasing of talents by the finalists and the presentation of projects for the Beauty With a Purpose competition. I'm especially eager to see one of my fellow contestants from the Americas and the Caribbean shine in this challenge.

Also, each of us brought a selection of gifts from our respective countries, all in aid of fundraising for worthy causes. My contribution was the "Rapa Nui in Wood: A Hand-Carved Moai with Ancestral Stories." This moai, crafted with reverence and care, pays homage to the rich history of Rapa Nui. Its elegant contours narrate the island's spirituality, echoing the ancient stone moai that stand as guardians of time. Within this wooden marvel resides the essence of an island emerging from the waves, a dream sculpted into reality. It serves as a gateway to a world where the wisdom of ancestors dances, and where stories are woven with magic and creativity.

This evening isn't just about glamour and competition; it's about harnessing our collective power to effect positive change. Let's continue to inspire and uplift one another as we strive to create a brighter future for all. Together, we can illuminate the world with compassion, generosity, and love.
