How I prepared for the Best Designer Award and Top Model Challenge
Saturday night, on the incredible Aurika Mumbai SkyCity in Mumbai, India, I had the privilege of participating in the Best Designer Award competition and Top Model Challenge alongside powerful women from 117 countries worldwide.
While I may not have secured an award this time, the experience was truly unforgettable, and I really enjoyed going on the runway. I want to share with you the story behind the dresses I wore and the incredible designers who brought them to life.
Best Designer Award Challenge: Dress and Designer
Designer: LENNIN VILLARROEL
Born in 1983, Lennin Villarroel's passion for fashion led him to study fashion design while pursuing a degree in law. Collaborating with his sister, he began his journey in the world of fashion, quickly gaining recognition for his bold and empowering designs. His style is characterized by the skillful use of textures, plunging necklines, and intricate embroidery, drawing inspiration from various historical periods.
About the Dress: Inspired by the winds of the Chilean countryside, the emerald green color symbolizes new beginnings and hope. The dress features a Greek-style cut with a wide skirt and flowing layers cascading from the shoulders, adorned with emerald green gemstones for added elegance and sparkle.

Top Model Challenge: Dress and Designer
Designer: PAZ MORESCO
For the Top Model Challenge, we were tasked with wearing a black dress, and immediately, I thought of the exquisite creation by our national designer, Paz Moresco. Paz Moresco, a renowned Chilean haute couture designer, embodies sophistication and elegance in her designs.
About the Dress: Crafted from poly silk and silk satin, this exquisite gown features intricate textile interventions of intertwined sticks and flowers made from chiffon and crystals. The design draws inspiration from the art Nouveau movement, with subtle transparencies and a silhouette reminiscent of an hourglass. A true piece of haute couture, it embodies the floral essence that defines Paz Moresco's signature style.

How did I prepare for this challenges?
After a year and a half of preparation, I can't stop smiling when I think about how far I've come. At 16 years old, I began my journey in modeling, mostly focused on the runway, but nothing quite like the Miss World stage. It's been a challenge to adapt to this brighter, more expressive runway, where smiles and dynamic movement are allowed. Yet, it's also been a beautiful opportunity to learn and grow. Life is about daring to challenge ourselves, stepping out of our comfort zones, and embracing the new. So I'm incredibly happy to have had the chance to try my best and shine on this stage.
I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to showcase the talent and creativity of designers from my country. I'm also grateful for Gerardo Mudarra and Greg Vargas for accompanying me on this journey to showcase a runway that not only allows the audience to appreciate the designs but also reflects my essence in every step.
