Visiting the Taj Mahal on Shah Jahan's Death Anniversary

After Jaipur, my road trip continued to Agra. Little did I know, this leg of my journey would gift me with an extraordinary stroke of luck - the opportunity to visit the Taj Mahal not once, but twice.

As my guide informed me, there are three days each year when entry to the Taj Mahal is free to commemorate the 368th Urs (death anniversary) of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It was pure serendipity that my visit coincided with one of these special days. During this occasion, the tombs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz are also opened for pilgrims and tourists, adding an extra layer of significance to the experience.

Stepping through the grand entrance gates and seeing the Taj Mahal was breathtaking. After this first encounter and realizing the incredible luck I had, I made sure to take full advantage of this opportunity, revisiting the Taj Mahal later during my stay in Agra.

Message to the Taj Mahal:

"Dear Taj Mahal,
From the moment I laid my eyes on you, I felt a profound connection that stirred my soul and filled my heart with love. Your majesty, beauty, and incredible presence left me breathless, yet at the same time, filled me with an intoxicating feeling of love. 
You are more than just an architectural wonder; you are the symbol of the immense love that Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan felt for his beloved Mumtaz Mahal. Your mere existence conveys a deep love story that touched the depths of my being. 
Thank you for allowing me to appreciate your splendor and for gifting me this magical moment. 
Thanks to the beautiful sunset that made this moment even more special. 
Your essence will linger in my memory, always reminding me of the beauty and grandeur of the love that inspired your creation."

Mensaje al Taj Mahal:

"Querido Taj Mahal,
Desde el momento en que posé mis ojos en ti, sentí una conexión profunda que removió mi alma y llenó mi corazón de amor. Tu majestuosidad, belleza e increíble presencia me dejaron sin aliento, pero al mismo tiempo, me llenaron de una embriagadora sensación de amor. 
Eres más que una maravilla arquitectónica; eres el símbolo del inmenso amor que el Emperador Mughal Shah Jahan sentía por su amada Mumtaz Mahal. Tu mera existencia transmite una profunda historia de amor que llegó a lo más profundo de mi ser. 
Gracias por permitirme apreciar tu esplendor y por regalarme este momento mágico. 
Gracias al hermoso atardecer que hizo este momento aún más especial.
