Drought has led to drastic negative impacts, not only to human beings but the majority of wildlife particularly the Somali giraffes, in the Northern horn of Africa. They have become an endangered species as a result of migration for greener pastures and water, leading to habitat loss and therefore becoming easy targets for bushmeat.

For my beauty with a purpose project which focuses on Climate refugees, not sidelining migrating wildlife, I have collaborated with Somali Giraffe project, National Geographic and Whitley Awards (the green Oscars) alongside Somali renowned environmental conservationist, National Geographic and Whitley Awards winner, Dr. Ali Abdullahi in assisting the giraffes in Somalia and other endangered species like the Hirola antelope, by fundraising to set up water pans and feeding stations during extreme dry and drought stricken periods.
