It was an incredible experience to spend Thanksgiving with my miss world sisters; the night began with a magnificent thanksgiving dinner and continued with speeches from my miss world family. I was sited with a group of girls from my blue team, and we had a lovely moment in which we all shared what we are thankful for, here are a few things that I am thankful for.

I am thankful to my parents, siblings, and friends, as well as my organization's, director Monica Akech, for believing in me and assisting me in pursuing my dreams, which has allowed me to be here.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to represent my wonderful country and culture.

I'm thankful to be able to spend time with these brilliant women at Miss World and be inspired by their goals and passions.

Most importantly, I'm thankful to Julia Morley, miss world. Thank you for providing me and my sisters, with this phenomenal ability to influence the world and make a difference.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has helped me along the way. I will do my best to make you all proud, and I can't wait to progress as a person and see what lies ahead for me on this journey we've begun.

Following the delightful dinner, the night continued with a performance by Toni-Ann Singh and Fernando Allende, in which we all celebrated by singing and dancing along the wonderful night, which concluded with beautiful gifts from Miss World.

Thanksgiving dinner I was dressed in a traditional Somali dress called the Guntiino, which is made of alandi, white fabric with decorative borders. This is most common in the Horn of Africa.
