For the Miss World Welcome Party, I had the honour of wearing this stunning couture creation by @njirathnayake, inspired by Sri Lanka’s national flower, the Nil Manel, in its beautiful magenta variety.

The rich magenta and deep rose tones, sculptural silhouette and cascading petal-like ruffles beautifully reflect the form of the flower, while the artisanal crush-dye handwork adds a unique touch to the piece.

More than just a gown, this design carries a little piece of home with me representing the strength, resilience, clarity and grace of Sri Lanka, reimagined through a contemporary lens. ✨
