Miss World Belize 2021 crowned

21-year-old Markeisha Young was announced as Miss World Belize 2021 on 26^th July. She beat 9 other contestants vying for the title who were judged in multiple rounds including interviews and Top Model competition.

Meesha Magdaleno was announced as first runner up and Emily Evans as second runner up respectively.

Markeisha is pursuing a Tourism degree at the University of Belize and works as a fashion model and singer. She is passionate about education and mental health and this will be the focus of her Beauty with a Purpose project.

As part of their work for Beauty with a Purpose, the Miss World Belize Organisation has launched a program for those struggling with their secondary education. The school extension program provides high school dropouts the opportunity to continue with their education.

Markeisha will represent Belize at the highly anticipated 70^th Miss World Final in Puerto Rico where, reigning Miss World, Toni-Ann Singh will crown her successor.
