In January last year I sustained a broken neck, pelvis, back and jaw following a near fatal car accident. The Miss World family were there to pick me up when I needed it most and gave me the love and support I needed to get back home and start my recovery, which I am eternally grateful for.

In January last year I had a serious car accident and suffered from multiple injuries, but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, right down to the second. I believe that I was meant to sit having a cuppa with these two beautiful humans and had I not have had my accident I may not have ended up spending a morning with Julia Morley, Steven Morley and Karolina.

I consider myself extremely lucky to be a part of both the Miss Wales & Miss World families, of which both communities showed me unconditional love during the scariest time of my life. How kind of Julia, Steve & Karolina to come and visit me this morning during their busy schedule?! Such a kind gesture like this is what sets the Miss World pageant apart from other international pageants, it is a family that I will be part of forever and I will always be Miss Wales 2022.

I can’t say thank you enough to Julia, Steve and Karolina for giving me the extra motivation and strength I needed in my last few days in hospital and first few days on my road to recovery. I got to chat with the Miss World team for about an hour but they instantly felt like family, I think it’s such a special quality to have the ability to make someone else feel special and loved in an instance. I consider myself one very lucky girl❤️
