Last Christmas, Mai Phuong and Miss World Morocco Soni visited Mai Hoa Shelter - Cu Chi, where HIV/AIDs patients are cared for and nurtured. Here, Mai Phuong donated necessities including 100kg of rice, 20 biscuits, and 10 million VND in cash, contributing to supporting the children's upbringing.
During this trip, Mai Phuong also prepared many childhood toys to visit and encourage the children. Mai Phuong shared: "I understand that taking care of children's spirit during festive seasons like this is extremely important. Even though the nuns have been taking good care of them, on a holiday like this, if guests are coming to visit, play with them, and have lovely gifts, it will help the children be much happier."
Especially during this visit to the Shelter, Miss World Morocco 2022 - Sonia Ait Mansour, who will participate in Miss World with Mai Phuong in India soon, also accompanied Mai Phuong. Sonia shared that she felt very happy and impressed because she was welcomed very warmly and friendly by Mai Phuong and her team and Vietnamese friends. Although there is a language gap, Miss World Vietnam has always been her translation companion, connecting her with the children at the Shelter.
Both girls not only gave gifts and chatted with the children, but also organized various games to play with them. Additionally, Mai Phuong presented the children with brushes, paints, and figurines, allowing them to enjoy playing with them and bringing new joy to their Christmas celebration. "Painting figurines is an incredibly engaging and stimulating activity for children, which is why Mai Phuong and her team brought it to the event and participated with the children," Mai Phuong explained.
