A river of hope

I have focused my efforts on contributing to the quality of life of a community called Rio Blanco (White River) located near my home town, after it was severely impacted by flooding. Over the last few months, I have been working hand in hand with a community leader to improve a space in her home that serves as a community kitchen and center where more than 150 children and elderly adults receive a daily meal and participate in educational activities. I have obtained donations from suppl iers to make improvements in the infrastructure, as well as kitchen utensils, hygiene kits, clothes, and children’s mats. I have also organized recreational activities for the children when they receive the donations, and coordinated a medical check.

The members of the community of Rio Blanco have been the direct beneficiaries. However, collaboration with a community leader and two organisations has been key:

In addition to my Rio Blanco project, I have replicated the “I Dream, I Can” project launched by Isabella Rodriguez, Miss Venezuela World 2 019, in my hometown, providing workshops to em power 27 girls aged 9 to 12 from low.
