En route to Puerto Rico, Alejandra Conde, Miss World Venezuela shares a video of her talent presentation dedicated to the children of Río Blanco in Venezuela who helped design her costume.
The power of transformation always elevates us to unimaginable heights. For my talent presentation at Miss World I wanted to show the culmination of an impossible dream: flying. All my life I had been afraid of heights but when I first visited the community of Río Blanco in Venezuela I realized that the only height that actually matters is the size of your heart. Watching the children help out in the reconstruction of their community center inspired me to ask them to participate in the design of my costume. Every line you see represents their smiles and every circle their hearts. All I ever wanted was to elevate the hopes of my people and tomorrow I will open my wings and fly over Puerto Rico to show the world how high they've soared.
