Venezuela’s traditional dance, the joropo, has never looked better than in this interpretation by Miss Venezuela World Alejandra Conde

We all deserve a place where we can dream, love, laugh and sing. For me that place is called Venezuela. Passionate about dancing since I was a little girl, I wanted to honor my country with this dance I took to Miss World’s Dances of the World. The joropo is our national dance and it takes great strength and passion to get the steps right! I am wearing a red liqui liqui which is the traditional formal wear of our brave men in Los Llanos and dancing to one of my favorite pieces of music: the “Alma Llanera”, a melody that takes me back to my childhood and has always made me proud of being a true VENEZOLANA. This piece is extraordinarily played by the Symphonic Orchestra of Venezuela.

¡Arpa, cuatro y maracas Venezuela!

Alejandra.
