“Family is the most important thing in the world.” — Princess Diana

Where I come from, in Nakaseke, Uganda, where tradition and familial ties run deep, my journey began, shaped by the echoes of love, loss, and an unyielding bond that has defined my existence.

Life took an unexpected turn at a tender age with the loss of my mother. In the silence of her profound absence, my father emerged as the silent hero, raising me alongside my seven sisters. Our home became a sanctuary of love, resilience, and shared dreams.

With a strongly present father, and eight sisters by my side, laughter, dreams, and determination were shared commodities in our household. It was within the warm embrace of sisterhood that I discovered my voice and the strength to face a world that sometimes seemed indifferent.

As I stand on the precipice of Miss World, I carry with me not just my dreams but the legacy of a mother whose essence lingers in the love that binds us. My family's love is the wind beneath my wings, propelling me forward with a purpose that transcends the spotlight.

It is this family connection that grounds me, enabling me to keep my mother's legacy alive. Every step I take pays homage to the woman who, though physically absent, remains an indelible part of my journey. In honoring her memory, I find the strength to rise above challenges and to embrace the spotlight not for personal glory but as a platform to amplify the voices of those who, like me, have experienced loss and found strength in unity. My father anchored his girls in a life of deep education and great learning which carried my purpose further. I am grateful for this precious gift that is my father.

My deeply personal journey is a testament to the transformative power of family, a narrative that transcends the stereotypical beauty pageant storyline. It is an invitation to shift perspectives, to recognize that behind the glitz and glamour lies a profound tale of love, loss, and the unbreakable bonds that shape our destinies.

In this journey to Miss World, my family is not just the supporting cast; they are the unseen directors, scriptwriters, and stars of a story that defies expectations. It is a narrative that, I hope, resonates beyond the stage, inviting others to embrace the strength that comes from love, unity, and the undefinable spirit of family.
