As an architect and Miss Turkey, my involvement as a volunteer with the Cancer Survivors Association holds profound meaning. Together, we painstakingly crafted education and play areas within hospitals, tailored for children enduring the arduous journey of cancer treatment. The meticulous design process prioritized their safety, health, and happiness, using materials free from carcinogens. During the design phase, we intimately engaged with the children, asking what they missed most and what they longed to see in the hospital. Witnessing their enthusiastic anticipation for these educational spaces was truly heartwarming. Recently, we joyously celebrated the inauguration of these spaces at the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department of Kartal City Hospital, a collaboration with Cancer Survivors Association. As both an architect and a volunteer, my heart overflows with happiness to have contributed to this project.

I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone involved, recognizing the profound impact each individual has made. Our journey with this project has been one of dedication and perseverance. Seeing it come to fruition fills us with immense pride, knowing it will provide vital support to the brave children undergoing treatment.

Beyond the medical aspects, we've endeavored to nurture their psychological well-being, ensuring they have spaces to play and learn, fostering a sense of normalcy amidst their challenges. Witnessing the sheer joy, excitement, and innocence in their eyes during the unveiling was an indescribable moment.

Here's to the countless little hearts we hope to touch in the future, spreading love, hope, and support wherever it's needed most. This project exemplifies the power of collective action in making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing adversity.
