MY PILGRIMAGE OF LOVE
MY PILGRIMAGE OF LOVE
The Foundation's first project began with girls in my community, who live just minutes from my home. This project in my home town paved the way for a pilgrimage of 1,965 square miles throughout the length and breath of the country, from community to community.
It became a pilgrimage of love, of an undying promise and an unbreakable bond.
My Pilgrimage of LOVE.Some of the long term/ sustainable projects undertaken were:
La Romain: We built a home for 13 year old Beverly, her 4 siblings, which provided a safe and secure environment for the children to live in and to thrive;
Rio Claro: We installed solar panels to generate electricity in one family's home so the kids can finally study and be comfortable at night;
St. Helena: The community has a new hydrophonic agricultural farm, growing crops to help sustain the community.
Nationwide: Over (number) girls benefitted from the invitation to join our sisterhood, a growing community of accomplished and confident future leaders.
Overall the Foundation was able to raise approximately $200,000. to facilitate all of these initiatives.
