The Ever-Changing Compendium of My Evolving Hopes & Dreams, Chapter 26

As a girl, I would watch the Miss World pageant annually with my Mama, quietly fascinated, as I observed the beautiful women. They were more than pretty or talented; they were full of goodness, kindness and purpose. And I wanted to be one of them.  And I dared not share that elusive dream with anyone, not even with myself ... until 2020.

In 2020, the world and I found ourselves in uncharted territory. Our planet navigated its way through the horrors of Covid 19 and global warming. And I entered the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago pageant, for fun ...

As 1 of 14 women chosen to compete, I entered bearing the title of my home town, Miss Palmiste, full of dreams of capturing the title.

In 2021 another page turned. 2020 was a whirlwind of experiences, including: the start of my Beauty With A Purpose work which sparked the fire of my enduring commitment to empowering young girls; the passing of my grandfather, a traumatic event; and a personal renaissance in ideas, learning & personal growth. In one word, it was transformative.

2021 brought the perfect ending to a lifelong dream, when I was given the title of Miss World Trinidad Tobago, and accepted with pride and humility the privilege of representing my country at the 70th Miss World pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

New hopes were fueled with determination to fulfill the enduring promise made to young girls throughout my country, and the pledge I made to my people to represent them with integrity and honor. And my journey continued ...

As we embark on 2022, I am humbled to have been chosen as 1 of 40 Miss World 2021 semi finalists who will again travel to Puerto Rico for the final night.

Where I am at this moment is the culmination of faith, hard work, and the support of countless people.

This chapter of the journey will very soon be over, but for now, I can still dare to dream ...

That I will bring honor to my country ...

That I will continue to have the opportunity to build my legacy of proactive love in my community ...

And that I will always be of service to the world in my own very unique way.

I don't know what the future holds. But I pray that love will always be the reason for my words and actions and that I will always have the courage to always chase my dreams.

And as the story continues to unfold, I know that I will ...

embrace the uncertainty,

enjoy the journey,

have faith in the perfection of divine timing, and ..

continue to have hopes and dreams.

Because if there is one thing life has taught me, it's that I CAN dare to dream impossible dreams, and that even the most impossible of them sometimes come true.

Confident that within me is the strength and the courage to write a new and wonderful chapter, I'm grateful for the opportunity, and eager to live the WHOLE STORY.

❤️ ❤️
With Lots of Love to you,
Miss World Trinidad & Tobago,
Jeanine Brandt.
