Its beauty and charm are wondrously ENDLESS.

Every day on this Island of Enchantment was an ADVENTURE,

like our tour down the Rio Espíritu Santo ...

Just by the river bank before our boat ride,

the tone for this exhilarating cruise was set

by a traditional bomba drum and dance performance.

It was an irrepressible and unstoppable joy!!

The river is thriving with LIFE

Our ride took us leisurely down

the astoundingly scenic watercourse

within a lush tropical rainforest reserve,

with pools, waterfalls and rapids,

and varieties of birds

and wildlife to enthrall.

The scenery is BEAUTIFUL.

all the way down to the crystal clear ocean.

Listening to its history and local legends,

I felt the spirit of the river around me.

And the journey was

powerful and replenishing

to my spirit.
