Miss World Trinidad & Tobago reads to the students of Santa Cruz R.C. for World Read Aloud Day 2023

I joined the children of my former primary school, Santa Cruz R.C, to celebrate World Read Aloud Day. We enjoyed entertaining stories of Caribbean folklore such as, “Anansi The Spider,” which promotes our culture and heritage while also teaching the children integral moral values and lessons. It’s important that we collectively promote the need for literacy and the love for reading to the younger generation as literacy is a key component to a successful education and a bright future. It was so much fun to visit the students and also catch up with my past teachers and principal, Ms Jones.
