Carnival celebrations are a huge part of our culture in Trinidad and Tobago! For months we prepare for this festival… it is a season filled with colour, food, dance and the beautiful sounds of our steelpan music… all culminating on the road for a giant two-day street-festival. It is a time of love, pure joy and unity shared by our beautiful multi-cultural nation! 💙💚💜🎊 This beautiful costume was designed by @trinisheenz and represents a hummingbird, which is one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago. Our Amerindian ancestors, gave Trinidad its original name, Iëre, meaning the land of the Hummingbird.🇹🇹🫶🎊
