Special moments from our 1st Plant and Hike Event! 🌱🌎💧 Together we planted over 200 native species to aid in rejuvenation and reforestation of an area which had been affected by forest fires. Some of the species we planted included the Yellow Poui, Chataigne and Almond. Spending so much time playing various sport outdoors, I grew to love our natural environment, and when you love something.. you want to protect it 💚 The effects of Climate Change are all too abundant… from rising sea-levels to unprecedented temperatures and extreme weather events… Sometimes it can feel like we are powerless.. but even the smallest actions can ripple into a wave of transformation 💧🌎🌱 I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.. watching everyone laugh, connect and explore while doing something meaningful for our planet. 🌱🫶🏼 This day was made even more special by the presence of these determined little scouts! Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago They made it their mission to plant as many seedlings as possible! One scout even planted 15 on his own, each with its own unique name. Kamani Jr was my personal favourite! 🌿✨ The highlight of the day was them asking for hugs and telling me it was the best day ever. Little did they know that made it my best day ever! 💚🌱 Thank you so much to @scoutstt for joining us for this special day of environmental action! A special thank you to the Hike and Plant TT team for coordinating such a seamless event for us! 🌿✨ This day wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our sponsors and partners! @ttrideshare @carissa.embroidery @sportsandgamestt A special thank you to the Ministry of Tourism for their longstanding support 🥰 @tourismcultureandarts
