Stina Nordlander - SWEDEN - Intro Presentation

Sweden_intromoreVideos

My name is Stina Nordlander and I’m representing Sweden in Miss World 2023.

I was born and raised in small village in a world natural heritage called the High Coast in the northern part of Sweden.

I loved growing up in the High Coast, it’s a very community-based area where everyone knows and helps each other. We’re famous for our fermented haring, beautiful nature, with high mountains still raising from the sea level and deep valleys. I spent my childhood skiing, ice skating, playing football, hiking, and fishing, always being out in the nature. And I believe that’s how I’ve stayed healthy and happy.

I took my bachelor’s in criminology at Stockholm University and last year I moved to Sydney to take a master in the same field.

I think one of the amazing things I’ve been able to do is work as the COO for the Nobel Sustainability trust. Where the Nobel family created a new foundation to be able to give out an award for an environmental sustainable development in memory of Alfred Nobel. I’m very grateful that I had the opportunity to work internationally for a better and more sustainable future.

In 2019, I became a member of Mensa and in 2022 I’ve worked together with the Stockholm Region Mensa board to develop the local society.

Sweden is unique in a way, that we have the opportunity to track our ancestors back to the 12 century, thanks to the old church books. And dating back to the 12 century, all of my ancestors are Swedish. I could say I am as Swedish as a person can be. I’m more swedish than IKEA.

Nils Wärmegård – A boy, born 1987, who I grew up with, we lived in the same house, he was my bestfriend, big brother and hero. I wanted to be like him. He was a circus artist and preformed internationally with climbing a chines pole.

Youtube – Nils Wärmegård. He sang Frank Sinatra´s Fly me to the moon while preforming.

The song I will perform during the talent show will be an homage to him.

I’m extremely honoured to travel to India and compete together with 120+ women from all over the world.
