The Galjoen fish, often referred to as the “seas shapeshifter,” is considered a national treasure in my country. This remarkable fish is not only cherished for its unique appearance but has also been known to travel beyond our borders, celebrating the beauty of international connection. It has been recorded to reached the waters of Namibia and Angola. In celebration of our national fish, I wore a gown that is a true work of art, meticulously handcrafted by the talented South African designer, Juan Willem. The gown encapsulates the essence of the Galjoen, reflecting both its vibrant life, shapeshifting abilities and the beauty of our natural environment. Juan’s innovative approach to costume design involved a thoughtful process of creation and storytelling, ensuring that each detail resonates with the spirit and significance of our national fish. The interplay of colours and textures in the gown draws inspiration from the waters where the Galjoen thrives, symbolizing the connection between our cultural heritage and the rich biodiversity of our oceans. The story goes beyond a mere south African symbol it represents courage, adaptability and unity. - Designer: @j_william_aria Hair: @strands_of_love_hair Makeup: @27red_skincare_and_cosmetics Jewellery partner: @previdaandco Creative Directors: @lynelle_skyla @zarko.vr Catwalk trainer: @maruisleta Videographer: @bjornsmit.photoandfilm Dental care sponsor: @cahidental - #missworld #72missworld #missworldintelangana #beautywithapurpose #bwap #telangana #TelanganaZarurAana #ZarurAana #tridenthyderbad #missworldtridenthyderbad
