Braslovče charity kitchen

The Saturday morning kicked off at 8:00 a.m. when we, along with the finalists of the Miss Slovenia project and local Braslovče associations, transformed the 'common place' into one big open kitchen. At four stands, we prepared four different main courses and desserts, cooking until 11:30 a.m. when the kitchen opened to guests. Jasmina Roter Jager from the 3 Lakes Institute inaugurated the Braslovče charity kitchen, with speeches also given by the Mayor of Braslovče, Tomaž Žohar, and the current Miss Slovenia, Maja Čolić. The kitchen had a cultural touch, with performances by the quartet from the Cultural Association Gomilsko and the men's choir led by Karla Virant.

The event, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Braslovče, was rich in knowledge, as the open kitchen functioned as an intergenerational workshop. Representatives from local associations shared knowledge and tips with the current finalists of the Miss Slovenia project. Traditional dishes were prepared in collaboration with the Pensioners' Association Braslovče, the Pensioners' Association Letuš, the Rural Women's Association Trnava-Gomilsko, and the Rural Women's Association Braslovče. Together, we prepared approximately 200 portions of main courses for the visitors.
