Beauty pageants are always a great occasion to show the world the wonders of a country, especially when it comes to its own art. Of course, Miss World contestants never fail to amaze their fans every single year when it comes to walking down the runway in clothing made by designers from their own country.
This way, I introduce you to my Top Model Challenge journey!
Having a gown that represents my country during the National Designer round was incredibly important for me. I've always imagined something simple yet spectacular and meaningful. I was lucky enough to have talented designer Pavel Kroyman create an amazing dress that reminds me of spring back in Romania. Cherry blossoms: a symbol of rebirth, vitality and vibrancy.
Miss World Romania, Ada-Maria Ileana wearing “Immaculata Conceptio” by Pavel Kroyman during Top Model Challenge“Immaculata Conceptio” by Pavel Kroyman is a full length sleeveless soft A-line dress, with a corset emerging into a siren style bottom. “Immaculata Conceptio” Gown is adorned with hand-painted on organza fabric cherry blossom elements. Each petal went through a separate technological process: drying, cutting, shaping and volumizing. The flowers were designed in style of artistic realism and applied by knotting among branches embroidered with gold metallic thread to create a visual effect in two perspectives: exposed to direct light, the dress is visually complex; in indirect light the dress sparkles and the curves of the woman’s body are finely outlined.
