“SAVE THE TIGER” is a campaign initiated by the Maharashtra's Government Cabinet Minister - Sudhir Mungantiwar ( Minister of Forests and Cultural Affairs and Head of the Tiger Conservation Foundation) about the tigers situation in India, specifically in the state of Maharashtra, where a festival is organised from March 1st to March 3rd - The Tadoba Festival to raise awareness.

The majestic tiger, symbolizing strength, grace, and wild beauty, roams the dense forests of Maharashtra, India, embodying the state's rich biodiversity. However, the iconic species faces a perilous battle for survival, teetering on the brink of extinction due to habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict. The plight of the endangered tiger in Maharashtra underscores the urgent need for conservation efforts to safeguard this iconic species and preserve its natural habitat.

There are so many interesting facts to be shared about tigers and fortunately, these amazing students from Romania were ready to learn and help!

Through interactive workshops, informative sessions, and creative activities, these young participants learned about the importance of tiger conservation and the threats facing these magnificent creatures halfway across the globe. 

With eager minds and compassionate hearts, they are exploring the habitats of tigers, understanding their ecological significance, and discovering the challenges they face, from habitat loss to poaching. Empowered by knowledge and driven by empathy, these children are not just learning about conservation; they are becoming advocates for change, spreading awareness in their communities, and taking action to support tiger conservation efforts.
