Get to know me and my wonderful country, Romania! 🇷🇴

Bună, tuturor! (Hello, everyone!) I am Ada-Maria Ileana and it is my greatest honour to return my magnificent country, Romania, to the Miss World stage! A land of breathtaking natural scenery, fascinating legends and deeply-rooted traditions, Romania is a true hidden gem of Europe.

I was born and raised in Bucharest, the capital city, nicknamed by many the Little Paris. Don’t get me wrong, Bucharest is a unique and vibrant city in its own right and I’m immensely proud to call it home.

I’m 26 years old and I currently work as a Cambridge Certified English Teacher, model and content creator. However, my goals for the future aim much higher. Recently, I graduated with a MSc in Public Policy, at University College London, and I also hold a Bachelor's in Security Studies. Being an educator made me realise the untapped potential of Romanian children, stuck in a defective educational system which hasn’t been reformed in over 3 decades. And so, I decided I will do my best to change that.

Last year, I founded the Investors in Dreams organisation, offering professional training courses to girls in the social security system. They are the most vulnerable to early school leaving, as they lack support and access to quality education.

This year, I’m planning on opening an educational centre to facilitate non-formal learning for children and teenagers. My goal is to provide various opportunities to discover possible future career paths, which is something state education does not deliver.

One last thing about me: music is my biggest passion! I’ve been singing since the age of 3, got a professional singing diploma from the Bucharest School of Arts and many national and international awards. I sure hope to impress you with my voice at the Talent Competition.

I am overjoyed to meet you all soon in India and to experience the incredible Miss World Festival!
