Visit to the Palliative Care Association in Kota Kinabalu Sabah, Malaysia

Miss World Chairman and CEO, Julia Morley and reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska as part of their Beauty With A Purpose Global Tour visted The Palliative Care Association in Kota Kinabalu Sabah. The Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu started in 1994 and registered as a charitable organization in 1998 to provide Palliative Care to patients with incurable advanced cancers in and around Kota Kinabalu. It's a fantastic organisation working tirelessly to proved essential care and support to patients and their families who are facing up to the trauma of a terminal illness.

The visit of Miss World, Karolina Bielawska and Miss world Chairman, Julia Morley brought joy to the patients and their carers on a very emotional day in northern Borneo. The Pallative Care Centre is a major beneficiary of this years Miss World Malaysia event and Miss World Malaysia Licence holder, Dr Sean Wong has made a 3 year commitment to continue the support for their inspiring work.

Beauty with a Purpose accounts for on average of 140 days for the reigning Miss World’s activities each year. “This is why I wanted to be Miss World said Karolina - “for these special moments where we can bring joy and happiness to some very special people”
