First gala in Vietnam was a huge success
Miss World 2022, Karolina Bielawska and Miss World Vietnam 2022, Mai Phuong were starring roles at the first Beauty with a Purpose Charity Gala held in Vietnam. The Miss World Vietnam Organisation held the special event on September 16 at the La Vela Saigon Hotel, in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a huge success, raising 300,000 USD to support sick and disadvantaged people.
Memorabilia from the Miss World Vietnam contest were auctioned and more than VND 7 billion was collected from donors and benefactors. They purchased items ranging from stunning evening gowns, to the Miss World Vietnam throne!
The highlight of the event was an emotional Mai Phuong, auctioning her Miss World Vietnam crown which raised more than 125,000 USD. Congratulations to Mai Phuong on this selfless contribution!
Karolina was overwhelmed by the generosity of the Vietnamese people. She said,
“Vietnamese people have beautiful hearts. I am so proud to be here. Many thanks to Phạm Kim Dung and Hoang Nhat Nam for making this all possible.”
The 300,000 USD raised will benefit Beauty with a Purpose projects in Vietnam and overseas. After the great success of the event, the Miss World Vietnam Organisation aim to hold further charity galas.
