Julia Morley, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organisation and reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska returned to India to continue the Menstrual Hygiene Campaign.
The Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) conducted an awareness program “Feminine Health, Hygiene & Sustainability” with the support of Aakar and the Miss World Team. The event was held at the Manekshaw Center, a multi-purpose facility of the Indian Army in New Delhi.
Joining the Miss World Team were, reigning Miss World Asia, Carla Yules, reigning Miss World Americas, Shree Saini and Miss World India 2022, Sini Shetty.
The team highlighted the impact of sanitary products and the need to move towards compostable pads, something Miss World and Aakar have been working on for many years.
