We hope your Diwali is full of love, light and joy!

Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word Deepavali, which means “rows of lighted lamps.” This major festival symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and the start of new beginnings for millions of people.

Homes and streets are decorated with special small oil lamps called diyas, to help Lakshmi, goddess of wealth and good fortune, find her way to people’s homes.

Communities gather to celebrate Diwali worldwide, with celebrations including fireworks, food and fashion. We hope your Diwali is full of love, light and joy!
