Let me take you to my memories from beautiful Zanzibar!

The allure of Zanzibar is timeless. One can experience there incredible white beaches with sand as soft as powder, plenty of different fruit and get to know a very rich history of this island.

Jozani Forest
The main reason to visit the Jozani forest is to see the Zanzibar red colobus monkeys. Not so long ago, they were in danger of becoming extinct, but thanks to efforts at the Jozani forest, there are estimates of about 2,000 of them now. I loved those little and funny creatures!

Prison Island
This place is a small Island that can be visited as a part of Zanzibar adventure. The name is not a coincidence, in the past this place used to be a prison for rebellious slaves in 1860s.

Furthermore it’s home to about one hundred giant and very rare tortoises. These tortoises are known to be among the world’s longest-lived animals, where some of them can live up to 200 years.! Each of the tortoises have their age written on their shells. It was my first time seeing those majestic animals.

Stone town
Stone Town is one of the oldest living Swahili towns in East Africa. It's unique winding, narrow streets are adorned with beautiful buildings. Established in the early 19th century, Stone Town is the cultural heart of Zanzibar.

I truly loved this trip and it was a pleasure to share a little bit of my memories with you!
