Beauty with a Purpose in India

Miss World India 2022, Sini Shetty’s Beauty with a Purpose project Aashayein, ‘The Power of Hope’ offers training sessions to help people find employment The project has the support of Teach India, an organization that works towards educational equity for all children. With their help Sini has been building the perfect curriculum to train those looking for jobs. Aashayein helps people irrespective of their background improve their spoken English, to overcome the most difficult of circumstances, find employment and financial independence.

Sini invited Miss World Chairman and CEO, Julia Morley and reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska to witness the training sessions at Aashayein.

The training is taking place at Parivartansheel Sanstha, a Non-Governmental Organization in the Kandivali area of Mumbai. The session the Miss World Team attended, focused on building confidence for future job interviews. Sini explained,

“We are still in the early stages but we hope to spread our wings across India. At the end of the curriculum, they will be sent to job fairs. We hope they will be successful in finding jobs to sustain and take care of their families, as well as themselves. Our reach is currently focused on Mumbai and the national capital region of Delhi but India is a vast country and my vision is to expand this footprint nationally.”

Karolina said: “I am so happy that we can be here in person to support Sini’s Beauty with a Purpose project - it’s a great idea and we wish her every success!”
