What a day!
Yesterday did we have our “Beauty With a Purpose” speech at Paragati Maidan.
What is “Beauty with a purpose” speech? You might ask. Well, Miss World don’t just want the looks, but they want a person with a good heart and a purpose. Which is why they have “Beauty with a purpose”.
We as delegates are working towards a course that we live and burn for, and want to make a difference or change for. In my case is this “Gastroparesis and Feeding tube awareness”, where I am working towards braking the negative stigma, spread information, helping people in similar situations to feel less alone, and showing that despite having challenges you can achieve anything.
For our speech was we told we had two minutes to talk about our cause.
If you have a cause or thing you are very passionate about, you probably get that speaking for only tow minutes is hard, because you have so much to say. But if we did not have this time frame would we probably be listening to speeches for the next few days. Instead did we have tow minutes each, and got to hear everyone in just a few hours.
Based on the speeches, and submitted videos, wil the judges pick the top 20. The 20 will then have a debate on Tuesday, where one of them will win this “Head to Head” challenge.
I am really excited to hear who made the top 20, and to hear (or participate) in the debate.
Eider way am I so proud of all the girls and my self. There was manny amazing speeches and is no doubt they this year has Miss World a grate selection of Beautiful girls with a Purpose
