Miss World Nicaragua 2020, Sheynnis Palacios has two Beauty with a Purpose projects.

Her first project, “Smiles That Teach” raises funds for children to receive cleft palate and cleft lip surgery at the Smile Nicaragua Operation Centre.

Sheynnis’ second Beauty with a Purpose project involves rebuilding the disintegrating bridge between the communities of San Bartolo and San Diego. The bridge is the main route for residents travelling to work, school and to get resources.

Sheynnis has been fundraising for her Beauty with a Purpose project, with another worthy cause, of providing a pop-up veterinary clinic in La Fuente neighbourhood. The clinic was set up in an annex, which saved residents time and travel expenses to treat their pets. Owners made a C$150 Cordoba donation for their animals to receive a consultation, vitamins/nutrients, worming and flea treatment.

Sheynnis collaborated with veterinary surgeon, Dr Noel Martinez and voluntary veterinary nurses to run the clinic. All proceeds went to Sheynnis’ Beauty with a Purpose project.
