Uganda strengthens its reputation as a rising Miss World force, with new titleholder Trivia Elle Muhoza carrying the nation’s momentum forward
Uganda first entered the Miss World stage in 1967 with Rosemary Salmon, but it was in 2018 that Quiin Abenakyo opened a new era of success by reaching the Top 5 and winning the African continental title. Since then, Uganda has steadily risen as a new powerhouse. In 2024, Hannah Tumukunde won the Beauty With a Purpose award for Africa and advanced to the Top 8, followed by Natasha Nyonyozi, who placed in the Top 40 and again secured the African BWAP award. Today, the world respects Uganda as one of the new forces in Miss World.
Natasha Nyonyozi made Uganda proud upon winning the BWAP Award in Africa for the second consecutive year. She crowned her successor last Saturday. Against this backdrop, all eyes are now on Trivia Elle Muhoza, who was crowned Miss Uganda 2025/26 at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, in Kampala on September 20. The 22-year-old philanthropist from Bukomansimbi carries the major responsibility of maintaining Uganda’s strong momentum on the global stage.
Trivia Elle Muhoza will represent Uganda at the 73rd Miss World Festival. Muhoza has pledged to focus her Beauty With a Purpose project on empowering single mothers, especially those affected by domestic violence. Her win was marked by elegance and conviction, positioning her as a strong ambassador for Uganda ahead of the 73rd Miss World Festival.
The runners-up were Agatha Drakes Keine, who also earned the Miss Multimedia and Miss Photogenic titles, and Faith Kirabo, who took second runner-up along with the Miss Beach Beauty award.

Miss World Zambia and Miss World Top 40 quarter-finalist Faith Bwalya, was a guest of honor at the event.
Miss Uganda 2025/26 was broadcast live on StarTimes Uganda, on the channel Makula Kika, channels 229 & 493.
