Miss World ran alongside thousands in Hyderabad, raising awareness for breast cancer.

After weeks of anticipation, the second edition of the Pink Power Run @pinkpowerrun_hyd took over Hyderabad this morning at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, starting at 5:30 AM IST. The event, organized by the Sudha Reddy Foundation with the MEIL Foundation, carried the inspiring motto “Stride & Shine” and featured 10K, 5K, and 3K categories, attracting thousands of participants committed to the fight against breast cancer.

The run was officially flagged off by Julia Morley CBE, President and Chairwoman of Miss World. Among those leading the 3K were Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri, joined by her fellow continental titleholders:

 • Maja Klajda (Miss World Europe)

 • Aurélie Joachim (Miss World Caribbean)

 • Krishnah Gravidez (Miss World Asia)

 • Jéssica Pedroso (Miss World Americas)

 • Jasmine Stringer (Miss World Oceania)

 • Selma Kamanya (Miss World Namibia, Africa’s 1st runner-up)

They were joined by Wenna Rumnah (Miss World Mauritius 2025), Nandini Gupta (Miss World India 2025), and Nikita Porwal (India’s representative at the upcoming 73rd Miss World). Alongside Sudha Reddy, athletes, amateurs, and children, they all ran as winners, reminding women everywhere of the importance of breast cancer awareness, prevention, regular checkups, and proper treatment.

The atmosphere was electric, with Opal and her fellow queens visibly excited to stand with the community and promote a powerful message of prevention, strength, and hope. After the run, the Miss World delegation personally handed trophies and prizes to the athletes who reached the podium, celebrating their determination and spirit. In a particularly moving moment, Sudha Reddy presented Julia Morley with a special award, honoring her extraordinary global work through Beauty With a Purpose.

“It fills me with immense joy to see so many people united for breast cancer awareness. Today is a day my Miss World sisters and I will never forget. Our deepest thanks to Sudha Reddy for bringing this incredible event to life, and to Julia Morley for empowering us to make a difference through the remarkable platform of Beauty With a Purpose.”
