Nevaeh Kyecia Allen, a 19-year-old business administration student at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC), has been crowned Miss Jamaica World 2025 following the grand coronation gala held Sunday evening at the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium at Jamaica College in St Andrew.  

Allen, who hails from Linstead in St Catherine, was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Tahje Bennett in a glittering ceremony. 

The atmosphere was electric as 20 finalists, unveiled at a media launch last October, competed for the national title. During the finals, Allen impressed judges with her confidence, intellect, and advocacy work, emerging victorious in a field of young women representing diverse communities and backgrounds. 

Standing with Allen on the podium were Asia Wright, first runner-up, who also took home the Most Poised award. Brianna Foster, second runner-up, was recognized with the Best Personality award. 

Allen also received the Most Congenial award, a testament to her warm spirit among her peers. 

Before her national win, Allen had earlier clinched the Miss Jamaica World Beach Beauty title during the fast-track events, a segment that automatically secured her place in the top contenders ahead of the finals. 

The contest, originally planned for November 2, 2025, was delayed by Hurricane Melissa, which swept through Jamaica last year. As a result, the 2025 title was awarded in early 2026, with Allen becoming the official representative for Jamaica in the upcoming 73rd Miss World Festival. 

In her post-win remarks, shared on social media, Allen highlighted her commitment to empowerment and community service, echoing Miss World’s mission of beauty with a purpose. Her academic pursuits in business administration and her advocacy for social good reflect a modern vision of what it means to be a titleholder in today’s world. 

Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1976, was the president of the judging panel. 

Allen will now prepare to represent Jamaica in Miss World, which is always a big responsibility, after all, Jamaica has won this title four times over Miss World’s nearly 75 years of history.
