The 26-year-old pharmacist will represent Zimbabwe at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.

Brunette Makanaka Makanyiso was crowned Miss World Zimbabwe 2026 during the national final held on June 6 at the Harare Hippodrome in Harare. The 26-year-old pharmacist will represent Zimbabwe at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026. 

graduate of Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University in Russia, Makanyiso is actively involved in community development through the BG Foundation, which focuses on education, youth empowerment, and support for vulnerable children. She has also been recognized for her volunteer work, leadership in community initiatives, and involvement in health awareness programs.

Makanyiso becomes Zimbabwe’s 30th representative at Miss World. Zimbabwe has recorded seven placements in the competition’s history, with its best result achieved by Angeline Musasiwa, who finished as 3rd Runner-Up at Miss World 1994.

As she prepares for Miss World, Makanyiso brings a background in healthcare and a strong commitment to service.
