Wales paid tribute to its servicemen and women during the Armed Forces Day celebration

Held annually across the UK, Armed Forces Day is a time to honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of the nation’s military personnel, past, present, and future. Communities gather to express gratitude for those who serve and to celebrate the values of duty and resilience they represent.

In Wales, this year’s commemorations were made even more special by the presence of Helena Hawke, Miss World Wales, who described the event as “a complete joy” and expressed how it filled her with optimism for the future. “It’s made me excited about what’s ahead and I hope it inspires others too,” she shared.

Helena also introduced Hawkes Horizons, her initiative aimed at motivating and empowering young people across the country. “I’m so grateful to share Hawkes Horizons with the public,” she added.

The day included ceremonial parades, military displays, and community engagement activities, offering the public a chance to connect with and thank the Armed Forces.
