Phan Phuong Oanh was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2025 at the spectacular final held at the Military Zone 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City on March 29. Special guests at the event included Julia Morley CBE, CEO and Chairman of Miss World and reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata.

First runner up was Le Phuong Khanh Nhu, from Khanh Hoa Province, and the second runner up was Truong Tam Nhu, from Hue City, respectively.

22-year-old Phan Phuong Oanh from Hanoi has a Bachelors Degree in International Business from the National Economics University. In the lead up to her crowning, Phan Phuong Oanh also secured a Top 4 place in the Head to Head Challenge and Top 5 position in the Fashion Beauty segment.

Reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata asked the Top 3 finalists their final question: “This year the 73^rd Miss World Pageant will be held in Vietnam, marking the 75^th Anniversary of this remarkable journey. As Miss World Vietnam you will serve as the Ambassador of the Miss World Pageant being held in Vietnam this year. What would you like to say to world about your beloved country Vietnam?”

Phan Phuong Oanh answered: “Hello world, when Miss World Pageant will host in Vietnam, if I had a chance I would like to show the solidarity and humanity of Vietnamese people because I want to show to the world that Vietnam is not only beautiful by its gorgeous landscapes, but also beautiful from some simple things, such as a warm meal, a smile or just sending help without return. Moreover, I want to show an example, in 2025 when the Northern and Central of Vietnam suffered from severe storm, people from around the world coming together to send rescue, help, to send just a warm meal or words of comfort. This is the true strength of Vietnam. Moreover, young generation of Vietnam nowadays are so talented, they are active and we are continuously striving to raise our awareness, to broaden our horizons and contribute to our society. Last but not least, Vietnam is working towards net 0. Joining the world to protect the planet so I think all of that I want to show to the world the most meaningly and beautiful image of Vietnam to the world. I want to show that Vietnam is not just a destination, it is a place to cherish, to connect together. Thank you so much.”

During the live final, Julia Morley CBE and Hoàng Nhật Nam, representing the Sen Vàng team announced the official dates for the 75^th Miss World Anniversary Edition, to be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5 2026.

Julia said: “ I’m so excited and happy. The whole world will not see you from the outside but from the inside like you are, you are beautiful people and we can’t wait to be with you. We have 130 nations coming to you this year, to your fantastic country and I’m so proud that we can share with you every kind thing that you have done for all of us. All these young people deserve the best and you are the best to give them support.”

Phan Phuong Oanh will represent Vietnam at the 74^th Miss World to be held in 2027.
