Celebrated for her social impact and environmental advocacy, Bảo Ngọc will represent Vietnam at the 73rd Miss World Festival

Reigning Miss World Vietnam, Lê Nguyễn Bảo Ngọc, has been officially recognized as one of Ho Chi Minh City’s Outstanding Young Citizens of 2025, an honor awarded to exemplary young individuals whose contributions have made a meaningful impact on society.

The awards ceremony was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and held at the City Youth Cultural Centre on New Year’s Day. According to the Youth Union, Bảo Ngọc was selected among twelve outstanding honorees whose achievements in science, sports and community service embody the values of patriotism, creativity and civic responsibility. The 2025 recipients were chosen from 157 applications representing 86 different units.

Established in 2006, the Outstanding Young Citizens of Ho Chi Minh City programme has grown into a prestigious annual distinction, celebrating young leaders who inspire positive values and actively contribute to the city’s and nation’s sustainable development. Numerous officials from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee attended the ceremony to extend their congratulations to the awardees.

Following the announcement, Bảo Ngọc shared a message on social media, describing the recognition as “more than just a title” and a reminder that meaningful change can come from small, consistent acts carried out with kindness, perseverance and love. She expressed gratitude to everyone who has inspired and supported her journey, reaffirming her commitment to continue learning, caring and spreading positive values.

The Youth Union also highlighted Bảo Ngọc’s extensive volunteer work, noting that she received the National Volunteer Award 2024 in recognition of her sustained community service efforts.

Her achievements are closely linked to her impactful Beauty with a Purpose initiatives. A winner of the Beauty with a Purpose Award at Miss World Vietnam 2022, Bảo Ngọc has continued to expand projects such as Earth Day Every Day and Gen Zero, focusing on climate action, sustainability and youth mobilisation. Her environmental initiatives placed in the Top 5 of the Climate Programme organised by the NGO CHANGE. She also coordinated the drafting of the Youth Statement on Climate Change 2023 and represented Vietnam at COP29. As Earth Day’s Global Ambassador, she mobilized more than 6,000 volunteers to collect 35 tons of waste and later delivered a powerful speech on climate responsibility to 20,000 young participants at Vietnam Green Day 2025.

In another social media post, Bảo Ngọc reflected on happiness as seeing small contributions create meaningful value for society, stating that these recognitions motivate her to keep learning, sharing and moving forward with sincerity and purpose.

Julia Morley CBE and the Miss World Organization congratulate Lê Nguyễn Bảo Ngọc on her remarkable accomplishments and wish her continued success in her Beauty with a Purpose work, as she prepares to represent Vietnam at the 73rd Miss World Festival.
