It was a milestone moment for Miss World Portugal, celebrating Portuguese design and global style

Maria Amélia Baptista, the reigning Miss World Portugal, graced the runway at Milan Fashion Week for Cristina Torres, a rising Portuguese designer whose elegant and original creations are already crossing borders.

“I had never walked in a Fashion Week before, so I was truly happy when I received the invitation from Cristina, who helped me so much during the Miss World weeks in Hyderabad and was one of the key people behind my wardrobe, which received many compliments,” said Baptista.

During her appearance, Maria Amélia caught the attention of other designers, who also invited her to walk in their shows.

“I felt very honored and lived every moment to the fullest. Milan is such a vibrant city that breathes fashion! It was a unique experience.”

And she concluded: “This is another door the Miss World experience opened for me. I will be forever grateful!”.
