The 72nd Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, attended the Global Leadership Summit 2025 (GLS2025) as a special guest speaker on December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand, where she addressed global leaders, diplomats, policymakers, and youth delegates during the event held at the Royal Thai Air Force Auditorium.

The summit, organized under the theme “One Vision, One Planet: United in Action,” marked the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations and brought together representatives from more than 100 countries to discuss peace, sustainable development, education, humanitarian cooperation, and global governance.

During the summit, Opal was also formally recognized with the Global Leadership Achievement Award 2025, honoring her contributions to leadership, service, and social impact on an international level.

For Opal, the moment carried deep personal meaning. Beyond her role as Miss World, the summit represented the fulfillment of a long-held dream. She has openly expressed her aspiration to resume her studies in International Global Affairs and one day serve Thailand as a diplomat, making her presence at a global leadership forum especially symbolic.

Taking the stage, Opal delivered a speech at the Closing Ceremony of the Model Montessori United Nations (MMUN), where she spoke about youth leadership, diplomacy, and peacebuilding.

“On the Miss World stage, I uphold the belief in Beauty With a Purpose, a philosophy rooted in compassion, responsibility, and service to humanity,” she said.

“Today, MMUN reflects that very purpose. Through dialogue, negotiation, and meaningful collaboration, you have shown wisdom, empathy, and courage beyond your years.”

She highlighted the role of youth in shaping a more peaceful future and praised organizations dedicated to peace education and leadership development, particularly the United Peace Keepers Federal Council, for its commitment to nurturing future global citizens.

Opal connected personally with the youth delegates in attendance.

“As a 22-year-old, also trying to find my path, make a mark in my life and change the world I’m living in, I know the struggles you might face, wondering if what you are doing today will truly change the world.”

She concluded her address by sharing a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson on the meaning of success, and left the audience with a message of hope and responsibility:

“A single flower cannot change a field, but it can begin a season.

You may be one individual, working on one thing you believe in, but you are the beginning of the season of change our world needs.”

The Global Leadership Summit 2025 brought together government officials, private-sector leaders, civil-society representatives, and international partners, including UNA-USA, the Royal Society of St. George, World Book of Records London, and UNPKFC Global Goals.
