Just weeks after being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, to discuss the future of her social impact project, Beyond Labels.

Karibi-George described the meeting as a great honor and an important step in advancing a cause that is deeply personal to her. During the visit, she presented the goals and vision of Beyond Labels, an initiative dedicated to promoting inclusion and opportunities for children with disabilities and special needs, while creating safe spaces where they can develop their talents and pursue their dreams without being defined by their circumstances.  

According to Karibi-George, the Minister expressed strong support for the project and encouraged greater participation of women and young people in national development. The discussions also explored potential partnerships and opportunities to expand the initiative’s reach across Nigeria and beyond.

As Miss World Nigeria 2026, Karibi-George has pledged to work tirelessly to strengthen Beyond Labels and bring its message of inclusion to the Miss World stage through the Beauty With a Purpose platform. The 26-year-old communications professional from Rivers State is also involved in climate advocacy, vocational skills training, and youth empowerment programs.  

Nigeria will be represented by Karibi-George at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, to be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026. The country will be seeking its second Miss World crown, following the historic victory of Agbani Darego in 2001, who became the first Nigerian and first woman from Sub-Saharan Africa to win the title.
