The search for Nigeria’s next representative to the Miss World Festival will come to an end this weekend as the Miss World Nigeria 2026 grand finale takes place on Saturday, June 6, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos. The red carpet will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the final show at 7 p.m.  

The 20 candidates from across Nigeria representing different states have spent the past week in camp participating in interviews, training sessions, challenges, and Beauty With a Purpose activities. This year’s competition is being held under the theme “Pride, Power and Purpose,” highlighting leadership, advocacy, and community impact alongside beauty and confidence.  

Miss World Nigeria is organized by the Silverbird Group, one of Africa’s most established pageant organizations.

The winner will succeed reigning titleholder Joy Mojisola Raimi and earn the right to represent Nigeria at the 75th Miss World Festival, which will be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026. Joy was a Top 20 semi-finalist (Top 5 in Africa) at the 72nd Miss World Festival last year.

Nigeria made history in 2001 when Agbani Darego became the first Nigerian woman to win the Miss World title, an achievement that continues to inspire a new generation of contestants.  

The newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 will join delegates from around the world as they prepare to compete for the coveted blue crown at the 75th Miss World Festival in Vietnam later this year.
