Miss World Mongolia Enkhtuul Bayarsaikhan highlights impact of literature, time management, and meaningful reading

During the 39th National Book Festival, Miss World Mongolia 2026, Enkhtuul Bayarsaikhan, took part in a media interview where she spoke about her reading habits and shared book recommendations with the public.

Enkhtuul mentioned that she recently read the novel “Oroi Güi Sum”, describing it as a work that explores human belief, values, and deeper truths through detailed storytelling. According to her, literature has the ability not only to engage readers but also to encourage reflection on personal life, choices, and perspectives.

Miss World Mongolia noted that, over time, her approach to reading has changed. While she previously chose books based on appearance or popularity, she now focuses more on content, meaning, and the ideas conveyed. She emphasized that a meaningful book is one that leaves a lasting impression and provokes thought even after finishing it.

Addressing the challenge of finding time to read, she explained that despite a busy daily schedule, setting aside even short periods, such as in the evening or during quiet moments, can be effective. She highlighted that consistent, focused reading, even for a limited time, is more valuable than long but irregular sessions.

She also commented on the growing interest in reading, while noting that discussions around books have become less frequent. However, she pointed out that book clubs and online communities are helping to revive this culture by encouraging readers to share insights and exchange ideas.

In closing, Enkhtuul said that her reading preferences vary depending on her goals, ranging from self-development and psychology to biographies and fiction. She added that while translated works provide access to global literature, reading in one’s native language often allows for a deeper emotional connection and clearer understanding.

Miss World Mongolia says she looks forward to discovering new or previously unread books at the festival and recommends both “Oroi Güi Sum” and “Atomic Habits.” She highlights that small changes can lead to significant long-term results, making such books valuable for personal growth. She also advises readers to choose books based on what they want to learn or feel, as this leads to more meaningful reading choices.

She concluded that the true value of reading lies in understanding a book’s message and applying its lessons in everyday life.
